Since 1969 Destec have been committed to the design and manufacture of portable machine tools, partly for installation and servicing of company products, and also as a general On-Site Machining Service. We now have a very versatile and wide range of in-house designed and manufactured portable machine tools that can undertake most machine shop operations on-site, on a world wide basis.

Destec has a fully equipped machine workshop with a wide selection of CNC lathes, vertical boring and milling machines. Capacity on turning is up to 2 metres diameter by 1.5 metres high held on a ø1600mm chuck on our largest vertical machining centre. CNC milling machines have capacity up to 3metres long by 800mm wide or 2 metres by 1.4 metres and general-purpose machine tools enable the company to offer a versatile machining facility.

Our experienced design staff provide supporting calculations and stress analysis for our products and use AutoCad, Inventor, Cosmos M finite element analysis and other in-house developed computer programmes. They are actively engaged in the design and development of our products. This includes building and operating test rigs.

We work with many industries including Oil, Chemical and Petrochemical related industries, Power Generation, Steel, Marine and those where high pressure containment solutions are required.

Destec Services 

Our wide range of versatile in-house designed and manufactured portable machine tools are well equipped to take on problems where accuracy and a good surface finish are paramount. Over the years we have added other associated on-site services, milling, boring, bolt tensioning, inspection services, on-line leak sealing, polymer coating and repairs, and welding.

By using multi-disciplined trained technicians for our On-Site Services, the client benefits by having less personnel on site.
