ADNOC hands out ‘seven-figure’ deal for 14 oil & gas fields

ADNOC Offshore, the offshore arm of the UAE’s giant Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), has awarded a long-term contract, covering all of its oil and gas assets, to ICR Integrity – a Scotland-headquartered provider of specialist repair, inspection, and integrity solutions – and its Abu Dhabi-based partner, Advanced Petro Services (APS).

ICR Integrity announced the award of – what it describes as – “a seven-figure contract” with ADNOC Offshore on Monday, 22 May 2023. According to the company, it will deliver, together with its partner Advanced Petro Services, a five-year composite repair project for all ADNOC Offshore assets by providing its Technowrap engineered composite repair solution. Therefore, the Abu Dhabi-based team will support ADNOC Offshore across its 14 fields, including four artificial islands, providing cost-effective rehabilitation to pressure systems.

Ewan Robertson, Global Composite Repair Director, ICR, commented: “We are delighted to announce this significant award from ADNOC Offshore with our UAE partner APS. Our Technowrap product range offers valuable time and cost savings to our clients, with minimal disruption to operations and a reduction in emissions of 66 per cent compared to traditional replacement methods.

“Our global team and our partners are committed to providing local expertise to our clients and pride ourselves on aligning our sustainability goals with the industry, with a focus on safety, efficiency and reliability. By offering solutions and innovations that meet industry needs around the energy transition our business operations will continue to help the oil and gas sector meet its ESG targets. We look forward to a successful partnership with ADNOC Offshore as we work with them over the next five years.”

ADNOC Offshore manages several oil and gas assets – including Upper Zakum, Lower Zakum, Umm Shaif, Satah Umm Al Dalkh, Sarb, and Umm Lulu – while its operations also extend to oil operation centers at Das Island and Zirku Island where the firm processes, stores, and exports crude oil.

The UAE player recently gave another five-year deal, which amounts to $2.6 billion (AED9.5 billion), to ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S) for integrated logistics services.
