BP PLC said Friday that Chief Executive Bernard Looney more than doubled his pay last year.
The oil-and-gas giant disclosed in its annual report that Mr. Looney earned almost 4.5 million pounds ($5.9 million) last year, including an annual bonus of GBP2.4 million. This was up from GBP1.7 million in 2020.
Chief Financial Officer Murray Auchincloss earned GBP2.4 million in 2021.
As energy prices soared, BP made a net profit of $7.57 billion last year.
