Eni SpA said Tuesday that it discovered new oil resources in the South West Meleiha concession in Egypt.
The Italian oil-and-gas major said the SWM-A-6X well has been successfully drilled and is connected to the production network. The well is currently on stream with a daily production of 5,000 barrels of oil per day.
The South West Meleiha development and exploration concession is located in the Egypt's Western Desert, according to Eni.
