First Integrated Solutions acquires North Sea Compactors

 

North-east energy sector equipment rental services specialist, First Integrated Solutions, has further bolstered its expertise in the oil and gas, drilling & marine industry with the acquisition of Aberdeen based, North Sea Compactors for a seven-figure sum.

North Sea Compactors founded in 1983 manufacture their own design of heavy-duty, large capacity, fully pneumatic offshore waste compactors purpose-built for the tough operating conditions encountered on offshore platforms, FPSOs, drilling rigs & large special purpose vessels (DSVs, CSVs, ocean-going dredgers, etc). The company has been investing heavily in its new DNV 2.7-1 / DNVGL-ST-E271 certified compactors and now has the youngest fleet of rental units available in the North Sea providing exceptional reliability, efficiency, and convenience for users.

The deal will further strengthen First Integrated Solutions market position in the onshore and offshore equipment rental market with the plan to grow and enhance its global customer base whilst increasing business in the UK and European markets. The acquisition also sees the company increase its head count of 80 and adds North Sea Compactors’ manufacturing and maintenance facility to its operations.  The deal further enhances the range of rental products and services offered by First Integrated Solutions and demonstrates our commitment to providing a complete and fully rounded solutions to the offshore energy industry.

First Integrated Solutions and its Parent First Tech Group is pleased that North Sea Compactors is already supporting the offshore wind industry which aligns with its own aims to be an ever-growing provider of goods and services in that industry as well.
