New Job Creation & Appointment Set to Further Support Step Change in Safety Members

Step Change in Safety, the energy industry member-led safety organisation, announces today (Wednesday 15th May) that it has appointed Nicola Taylor as Business Engagement Manager. The new position to the team has been created to further support its 165+ members.

Nicola joins the team with extensive energy industry experience and a background in HSE, Communications and Project Management having held positions with Stork, Sparrows Group (now Altrad Sparrows), the Society for Underwater Technology and Expro.

Craig Wiggins, Executive Director for Step Change in Safety says, “The position of Business Engagement Manager was created to ensure the new member onboarding process and ongoing support of our valued members. We want all of our members to fully engage with us and to know what is available to them from a support and resource perspective. Most importantly, we are a member-led organisation which allows individuals from our member companies to have a voice and help shape our plans, activities and direction.

“Step Change in Safety is unique. No other industry has a body that brings together industry leaders, operators, the supply chain, unions, the Regulator and the workforce, to create best practice guidelines and showcase safety. The resources and toolkits we create, and events we organise are all free for our members and their employees.”

Craig continues, “We welcome Nicola and know she will be a valuable member of the Step Change in Safety team and its members.”

Talking of the appointment Nicola says, “I'm delighted to be part of the Step Change in Safety team and look forward to collaborating with and bolstering our diverse network of member organisations. It's an exciting time as we strategically plan our three-year roadmap, aimed at advancing Step Change in Safety's mission to prevent incident and injury across the energy industry.“
