Peter Haughie, Ocean Winds - Offshore Wind Conference 2024

OGV Group caught up with the Commercial Associate Director of OW Ocean Winds yesterday - Peter Haughie at the Scottish Renewables Offshore Wind event at the SEC, Glasgow. Peter discusses their considerable portfolio of projects in Moray East, Moray West and Arven and the positive benefits to the supply chain in the UK as well as the chellenges of a shrinking supply chain, grid connection visibility and the flux with the CFD process. It is clear that the government needs to adopt a strategic view and provide regulatory clarity so that the developers and the supply chain can make the right investment decisions to support this growing industry and ensure the projects stay on track to provide a clean source of energy security as part of the future energy mix.
