Royal Dutch Shell ( RDS.A ) said pre-market Friday that it has completed the sale of its interests in the Draugen and Gjøa fields in the Norwegian North Sea to OKEA AS for for NOK4.52 Billion or approximately $526 million.
Under the deal, Anglo-Dutch major will shed its 44.56% operated interest in the Draugen field and 12% non-operated interest in the Gjøa field, representing approximately 14% of A/S Norske Shell's total output last year. The sale was part of the company's $30 billion divestment program
Shell also said that it will remain as operator of Ormen Lange and Knarr and as partner in Troll, Valemon and Kvitebjørn fields.
