Over the next eight weeks, we will be meeting finalists from the SPE Offshore Achievement Awards 2019. This week, we meet Steve Plant, Managing Director of Plant Integrity Management www.pim-ltd.com who are nominated for Great Company – SME alongside Blaze Manufacturing Solutions Ltd www.blazeman.co.uk and Exceed www.xcd.com
We see the SPE OAAs as a well-established event which recognises talent within the oil and gas industry. The prestige that accompanies being shortlisted for an OAA comes, in part, from the fact that the judging panel is made up of respected professionals from the industry.
We also wanted to demonstrate that we are proud of what PIM has become. We have worked hard to weather the recent downturn and to create a business which is capable of substantial growth over the coming years.
Being a finalist is external recognition of PIM’s commitment to delivering excellence at all times and in all areas. Whether this is through giving employees the scope to realise their potential or in ensuring that we are continually developing our service and product offering to the benefit of our clients. This ethos formed the basis of our strategy to not just survive the downturn but also to prepare for future growth.
Reaching the shortlist is an achievement in itself but winning the award would be a tremendous accomplishment; it would be recognition of the hard work and dedication shown across the board by those working at PIM.
We are all aware that the industry has been through some tough times over the last few years and, whilst we are not out of the woods yet, we are on the road to recovery. Celebrating our achievements, whether they be our people, new innovations or collaborations, at awards such as the SPE OAAs, is one way of recognising the hard work that goes in to ensuring our industry performs at its best.
These awards are not only a celebration of what has been achieved but can also provide inspiration and encourage future innovation from all sectors of the industry.
We’re looking forward to attending the event and celebrating our achievements to date. We have come a long way since the company was founded in 2011. The event also provides a welcome opportunity to network with other key players in the industry. Visit www.spe-oaa.org for the full list of finalists.
