Interview with Tristam Horn, CEO of Deltatek 

Could you start off by telling us a little bit about the company and what products or services you’re showcasing here today?

Deltatek is a relatively new company, we’re four years old, we’ve grown rapidly over the past 12 months, we’ve gone from 4-13 people in the business in that time. We provide Novel Well Construction Technologies for the subsea industry with a ethos of saving rig time and we’ve got a number of technologies which have become pretty well field proven, especially here in the UK we’ve gone from first subsea deployment to 30% of the UK market with our Kuehl business which incorporates sea cure, quick cure and core cure. With our articulate technology we’ve recently run with a customer in the Norwegian sector and we’re looking forward to bringing that back over to the UK side in the near future.

What brings you to Offshore Europe this year?

We’re really excited about the buzz of the resurgence of the Subsea sector and we’ve been really enjoying speaking to prospective customers, a number of our existing customers, showcasing our technologies and doing presentations to a number of different stakeholders. We’ve been particularly fortunate that the excitement that has generated around our sea cure and quick cure and core cure services in particular have been well adopted by that prospective customer base. They’ve been enjoying learning about the way that we’ve been saving a huge amount of rig time for some of our existing customers and we’re looking forward to taking that to the rest of the UK market.

What’s next for Deltatek after Offshore Europe?

There has been an enormous amount of lead generation and opportunities that have been yielded so this is by no means the end of the journey of Offshore Europe. There is going to be a huge amount of work over the next couple of weeks by all of the team to re-engage with all those interested individuals and operator end-users and start feeding all of that information that’s been requested and inviting them over to Deltatek HQ just here in Dyce, where we will be looking forward to taking those conversations a bit further.
